Jhorman van Leliveld, a first-generation immigrant, moved with his family from Ecuador to the Netherlands at the age of 6. Not finding clothing that represented his history and that of millions of Latino immigrants like him, as an adult he decided to take the path of creating Perenne in New York.

Perenne was launched to the public in March 2023. That same year it presents its first collection “Migration is an Expression” during Hispanic Heritage Month, inspired by Latin American migration to the United States and Europe.

Perenne is designed for the Latino who resides outside of his or her country of origin and seeks to celebrate and represent his or her Latin heritage, as well as for anyone who appreciates and loves the cultural richness of Latin America.

The essence of Perenne is summed up in one phrase: 'The Latin American dream'. It means that no matter where you come from or where you are going, if you have a purpose and determination, the sky is the limit.
